Located in the heart of Browns Bay and overlooking Freyberg Park, Browns Bay Taiaotea Kindergarten is part of a vibrant, multicultural community. We celebrate the diverse cultures and identities of our tamariki and their whānau, creating a warm, welcoming place of belonging. Our central location allows for rich connections with our surroundings. Regular excursions help tamariki explore local landmarks, enjoy nearby facilities and deepen their sense of place within the community.

We are a team of passionate kaiako who value calm, respectful and meaningful relationships with tamariki and their whānau. By taking time to truly listen and understand what is important to each child, we nurture their wairuatanga and support their individual learning journeys. Our goal is to ensure every child thrives, grows in confidence, and is well-prepared for their transition to school.

Our teaching is inspired by Te Whāriki and grounded in tikanga, dispositional learning, and sustainable practices. Through thoughtful planning and research, we create engaging, innovative environments where curiosity, creativity and care for the natural world are encouraged every day. As an Enviroschools kindergarten, we empower tamariki to become active kaitiaki (guardians) of their environment and confident explorers of their local community.
