Stanmore Bay Kindergarten is proud to offer a fun, richly resourced, educational learning environment. Our fully qualified and registered teachers are committed to building learning power amongst kindergarten-aged kids.

We are located next to Stanmore Bay Primary School in Waiora Road, Stanmore Bay. Opened in 1979, Stanmore Bay was the first public kindergarten on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula.

We aim to meet the individual needs of every child; physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. We believe by creating an environment that fosters fun, curiosity and exploration, children have the opportunity to actively engage with each other and the environment.

By sharing and fostering childrens’ interests in different activities we are ensuring there are opportunities for moments of wonder. Working and learning together helps us to get to know the children on an individual basis.

We encourage family/whanau to share their knowledge and experiences with us and be a part of their child’s learning journey.

Some learning is self-directed by the child and at other times initiated by the teaching staff. Families are always welcome to come and spend time with us at kindergarten and share the kindergarten experience.
