Suitable for beginning teachers

Our teacher on maternity leave has decided to spend time with her baby and will not be returning to work – creating the need for a full-time permanent teacher at our lovely Browns Bay Taiaotea Kindergarten. This is a fabulous opportunity to work within a high functioning, collaborative and committed teaching team.

The kindergarten is well resourced – with a particularly large outdoor area with multiple learning and play zones. It has a well-established place in the heart of its community and in normal times, regular outings to a retirement village, the library and the beach. It is also part of the Enviroschool network and is actively committed to the Association’s vision for sustainable futures for all our tamariki.

Children attend between the hours of 8.30am – 2.30pm and teachers between 8am and 4.30pm. Teachers experience excellent working conditions under the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA) (6 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks professional time, generous non-contact time) and the security of being part of a supportive Association that schedules regular PLD and an annual conference in July.

– A NZ recognised ECE teaching qualification
– Current NZ Teacher Certification
– Current First Aid Certificate
– NZ citizenship/residency or hold a NZ work visa
