FTE Teacher – Torbay Kindergarten, Permanent Full Time (40 hours per week)

We are looking for a keen, energetic teacher (experienced or provisionally certificated) who loves 3-5 year olds and could add value to our fabulous teaching team. This is a full time permanent position.
Torbay Kindergarten on the North Shore has attractive outdoor learning environments with the addition of a garden area, veranda and covered outdoor spaces. Inside is a hive of activity with an emphasis on art as well as ample floor space for blocks, trains, projects and more. Children are very much in charge of their own learning and teachers are fully engaged with following and supporting their learning with provocations and conversations.
Torbay Kindergarten has an exceptional reputation in the community and is well supported in all its community events and the regular excursions to the beach.
The children attend 8.30am–2.30pm. Full-time teaching staff work 8am– 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Teachers enjoy excellent working conditions under the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA) along with the security of being part of the supportive Kaitiaki Kindergarten Association.

We’d love to hear from you if you:
Share our commitment to ensuring all children experience an exceptional early childhood education that is bicultural and te Tiriti based.
Have strong documentation skills
Are supportive, hard-working and collaborative
Have recent successful teaching experience with 3-5-year-olds
Hold a NZ recognised ECE teaching qualification,
Hold current NZ Teacher Certification and a First Aid certificate, and
Are a NZ citizen/resident or hold a NZ work visa

You are very welcome to visit the kindergarten to ensure it is the right environment for you. Your cover letter should tell us about who you are and what you will contribute as a teacher to this kindergarten team with a new head teacher and a passion for high quality education.
