Full Time, Permanent Teacher – Torbay Kindergarten 

Certificated kaiako/teacher for a full time kindergarten position

Torbay Kindergarten is a beautiful well-resourced kindergarten on Auckland’s North Shore that occupies a special place in the heart of its community. Being close to the moana and awa, Torbay kindergarten has a strong local curriculum focus with visits to the beach. With an attractive outdoor learning environment that includes a garden area, and covered veranda there is room for all manner of play. Inside is always a hive of activity with an emphasis on art as well as ample floor space for blocks, trains, projects and more.

If you are a qualified and enthusiastic teacher with a real calling to make a difference for tamariki during their time with us, we are interested in hearing from you. You might be experienced or provisionally registered either way we will support you to fly.

As part of the Kaitiaki Kindergarten Association, our teachers enjoy excellent working conditions under the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement.

The children attend 8.30am – 2.30pm. Full time teaching staff work 8.00am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

• Share our commitment to ensuring all children experience an exceptional early childhood education that is bicultural and te Tiriti based.
• Have proven strong documentation skills
• Are supportive, hard-working, collaborative and inclusive
• Have recent successful teaching experience with 3-5-year-olds
• Hold a NZ recognised ECE teaching qualification,
• Hold current NZ Teacher Certification and a First Aid certificate, and
• Are a NZ citizen/resident or hold a NZ work visa
