Kaitiaki Kindergartens are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and talented Head Teacher to join our dedicated team at Parakai Kindergarten.

This beautiful kindergarten boasts an exceptionally spacious, well maintained and resourced environment that sits in the heart of its community, adjacent to Parakai School.

As part of Kaitiaki Kindergartens (Northern Auckland Free Kindergarten Association) the teaching team benefit from excellent pay and employment conditions as laid out in the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement 2019- 2022 (KTCA).

As the Head Teacher you will enjoy working closely with whanau and be able to foster strong relationships and opportunities within the community.

As a leader you will also:

– Be able to demonstrate dynamic and inspiring leadership
– Have pedagogical leadership and knowledge of Te Whariki with strengths in planning, assessment and documentation
– Be fully committed to Te Ao Maori and the principals of the Triti o Waitangi
– Have excellent communications with all members of the wider kindergarten community
– Be a collaborative and positive team player, able to lead with shared vision and goals

You will be fully supported to achieve your full potential by your professional practice leader and the association’s management team.

Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification, a New Zealand Practicing certificate and First Aid certificate.
