Full Time Teacher – Silverdale Kindergarten, One Year Fixed Term Maternity Leave Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our lovely, spacious Silverdale Kindergarten for a passionate and professional teacher to cover the maternity leave of a much-loved teacher. If you are seeking experience of working with a high functioning, collaborative fully qualified teaching team this is a great opportunity whether you are experienced or beginning your teaching career.

The kindergarten has wonderful indoor-outdoor flow and is a beautiful environment to work in. The teacher we are looking for should have experience teaching and providing an inspiring learning environment for 40 3–5-year-olds.

This is a one-year maternity leave position beginning on 13 March 2023 until 9 March 2024.

Children attend between the hours of 8.30am – 2.30pm and full-time teachers work 8am to 4.30pm. Teachers experience excellent working conditions under the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA) (6 week’s annual leave, 3 week’s professional time, generous non-contact time) and the security of being part of a supportive Association that schedules regular PLD and an annual conference.

The team consists of a head teacher, 2 full time and 2 part-time teachers and a part-time support person who all work 5 days a week.

• A NZ recognised ECE teaching qualification,
• Current NZ Teacher Certification,
