Northern Auckland Free Kindergarten Association t/a Kaitiaki Kindergartens are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and talented Head Teacher to join our dedicated team at Whangaparaoa Kindergarten.

Whangaparaoa kindergarten is a spacious, well maintained and resourced environment that sits in the heart of its community next to Whangaparaoa Primary School.
As part of Kaitiaki Kindergartens, our head teachers are employed with the terms and conditions as laid out in the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA).

As the Head Teacher you will enjoy working closely with whānau and be able to foster strong relationships and opportunities within the community. As a leader you will also:
• Be able to demonstrate dynamic and inspiring leadership
• Have pedagogical leadership and knowledge of Te Whāriki, with strengths in planning, assessment and documentation
• Be fully committed to Te Ao Maori and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Have excellent communication with all members of the wider kindergarten community
• Be a collaborative and positive team player, able to lead with shared vision and goals.

Applicants must hold a New Zealand recognised ECE teaching qualification, a New Zealand Teaching Council practicing certificate and a current First Aid certificate.
